Basic Boil Stop Use Instructions:
Preheat:
Place your Boil Stop on the burner and set the burner at medium. Preheat your Boil Stop for about ten minutes. Then reduce the heat to low. Once the preheat is done, you can place your pot or pan containing the food to be slow cooked on the Boil Stop.
Monitoring:
The first few times you use your Boil Stop you should watch the food to see if it is getting too hot or not hot enough. You will need to adjust your stove as needed. Every stove is different of course. So your results will vary. You need to figure out what the right heat setting is for your cooking methods, of course.
Do Not Overheat:
Do NOT try to hurry the process by pre heating on high. Do not try to use Boil Stop above a medium setting. The will result in boiling and could lead to burning of the food. Boil Stop is designed for low heat levels. You will get the best results if you follow these recommendations .
